Rug Progress

I finally had some time to play with stitching my rug some more. I can happily say I am halfway done with the stitching! :-)

I'm thinking of stitching a second one when I get this one completed. I switched needles last week because the size I was using was absolutely horrible for the strand amount and the size of fabric, but at the time it was all I had on hand. So I want to see if using this new size from the beginning will look better.
I really like the zig zag pattern in the center of the rug. It's fun to stitch and just looks cool.
Here's hoping the new needle makes for much faster work on this piece. I'll post more soon, I hope.

Looking good Kat! What count is the fabric, how many strands of floss and what size needle? Send me an E mail. I might be able to help you with your needle problem.

I could never take this on. Its such a detailed task and my stitching is not that great. I'd end up with a lumpy and bumpy rug with all the threads being a mess at the back.
I've been stitching a cross stitch for over 11 years now and still only on the first quarter.
Now i've thought about o'll have to hunt it out and start stitcjing again.
Keep up the good work!

I love the pattern! You are doing /a beautiful job! I really must get back to mine! I 2 rugs going now, one in cross stitch and one in needlepoint! I'm not sure which I like better! But needlepoint in much faster! LOL!
