Update

The official word is Dad let himself get dehydrated. He has now been told but someone in a white coat, with clipboard, that 28 ounces of water a day is not enough. [Note that my mother has been saying that for quite some time. She just "isn't a doctor." My father can be a elitist prig from time to time.]

They are keeping him for another night to pump him up with IV fluids. He's flirting with the nurses and whatnot, so he should be alright.

We did manage to find all of my siblings yesterday, finally. It's like herding cats to reach them all.

Thank you to everyone who sent kind thoughts and prayers our way. I appreciate it more than you know.

The regularly scheduled minis, sewing, and musings will return sometime tomorrow.

Nice to hear that your Dad is recovering. Hopefully this will be a memorable reminder for him to take better care of himself. Hugs to you!

Fortunately, there is an easy cure for dehydration.

Flirting is a good sign. :-)

My mom had to go through the same thing with my dad. She had to work drinking more fluids into his daily routines, since it didn't occur to him to just drink more water.

I'm glad he's okay. I know in my family when people flirt with the nurses, it's always a sure sign of recovery. Hope you are feeling well too. Counting down the days to the mini museum!!!

Glad to hear everything is turning out ok! Sounds like a typical man, waiting to hear the obvious from a 'professional'. :) I bet he's up and out of there soon! hugs - ara

I'm happy to hear that it can be easily solved. If he flirts he cannot be that bad ;-))

So wonderful to hear that your dad has something temporary and reversible! Hope he's learned his lesson and drinks more water now. My grandma hates to drink water, but she's 97 now so I guess it hasn't killed her yet. :-)
