Needlepoint Workshop

This is the progress from the today's needlepoint workshop. This is the instructor's original design called "Dove In the Window." As you can see we jumped around quite a bit so we'd get a chance to try each stitch while the instructor, Susan Hoekstra, was present.

It was a lot of fun, but I'm currently cross-eyed and brain-dead so I think I will go veg somewhere for a while.

  1. Very nice sampler, Kat. What kind of thread did you use?

  2. We used three different pearle cottons, two Krenik braids, and three different silks. I will be working on this one for a while. My mother is also doing one in a different colorway.

  4. Wow I am cross-eyed and brain-dead just looking at the photo lol.

I am so in awe of people who can stitch this fine.

I've just ordered fabric to make a duvet cover, pillows and curtains..all squares and straight stitching but I know I'll mess it even this up.

Took me half a day to work out how much fabric I needed....then I almost doubled it just in case lol.
